HGTV’s Design Star – Updated Power Ranking
It’s come to this…only 5 designers left. After last night’s elimination trimmed off the weaker ones, we were left with the strong or in a more negative vein 4 more people who will be design losers. While I can’t say that my previous picks were perfect, I wasn’t too shabby with 3 out of 5. I need to update my ranking and decide who’s going to win the super lame prize of an online design show.
5. Emily Henderson
She’s adorable and after the first episode fiasco has consistently flown under the radar. With 5 left, I think she will be scrutinized a bit more.
4. Alex Sanchez
I do like him, but he’s pretty lucky that he’s still around. He’s done well the past couple of weeks, but he stank it up for a while there. I think the stinkies might come back.
3. Courtland Bascon
Now, if Courtland can avoid being a whiner and be a designer (damn that’s some good rhyming), then he might do better than 3. I have a feeling that he might sabotage his own chances, though.
2. Casey Noble
I just don’t feel like I know her well, but she has won a recent design challenge. She does pleasing work, so she might stay in the game while the others screw up.
1. Michael Moeller
A Scarf-less but Fabulous Michael
He still has a scarf and I still give him the win. I knew from the moment I saw him and his scarf that he would win it all. Perhaps, all designers should wear scarves. I could see one walking down the street and then kidnap him/her and force him/her to redesign my townhome. I like this idea. I’ll create a Facebook campagin. They seem to be popular these days. Oh yeah…good luck Michael.
